Get to know Nicola

When I qualified as a solicitor in 2011, I already had a background in serious, complex and fatal matters and I now specialise in clinical negligence. In 2024, I joined the Edinburgh office of Slater and Gordon to continue that work with a firm with a stellar reputation in fighting for justice for their clients.

Working alongside an experienced, knowledgeable and supportive team, I work with individuals suffering from life long conditions, people with complex rehabilitation needs and bereaved family members seeking answers, support and closure.

Career highlights

For me, highlights of the career are when you can see areas of your clients’ lives beginning to repair as a result of the work you are undertaking together. It is also rewarding when an issue with which you have gone to press, to raise awareness, prompts others to get in touch with their own concerns, allowing you to help them too. I have managed to do this with involvement of some high profile cases in the Scottish media over the last ten years.
